Play Scheme Informationcartoon child

It is with regret that we are having to cancel our SUMMER Play Scheme 2021.  I realise this is distressing news for everyone who uses our play schemes but due to the large impact covid has had on our business we are not in a financially stable state to operate during the holidays as the overheads are much more than the school term.  We are hoping to resume holiday schemes in 2022.

Please note that we operate within St Winifreds Primary School, Newstead Road, Lee, SE12 0SJ.

Dates are as follows:-

Easter Play Scheme 2021  CANCELLED

Summer 2021 Play scheme CANCELLED

The club will open at 8:00am and will close at 6:00pm each day. Please note that there is a Late Collection fine of £10 for each 15 minutes or part of that your child is still in our care after 6pm.

The cost of the scheme is £24.00 per day per child. If there is an additional fee for trips, parents will be asked to contribute towards the cost of the activity. Please note that activites are booked in advanced for the number of children we can accommodate so payments will be required for all children who attend on on that day.  These activities will be highlighted in Bold on the activity programme.

Places will only be booked if half payment of the total amount of your booking is received with a completed booking form at the club.
Payments for the Play schemes can be made by Cash or Online Banking.

For more information on the clubs rules please see a copy of our policies and procedures which are available at the club.

Please find below: Proposed activity plan, special guidlines, permission slip and booking form.

General Guidelines

A deposit must be paid for all bookings. A minimum deposit of half the total cost of your child's day is required with a completed booking form. If your child is attending 5 days or less, then full payment is required when booking. Your deposit will be deducted from the second half of the end of the scheme period so fees will be due on your first day of attendance.

Fee's are due on the first day of each week that your child attends. Any outstanding fees at the end of the week are subject to a £5 late payment fine. Once a place is booking and days have been reserved for your child, their fees must be paid and are not refundable unless week's notice is given to cancel any days.

Arrivals and Departures

The club is open between 8am-6pm each day. Registration is between 8am and 9:30am; you are advised to check your activity program for departure times as they may vary. Little Gremlins cannot be held responsible for late comers. All children must be signed in each morning and signed out at the end of each day. Your child must be collected by 6pm; parents who arrive late will be charged £10 for every 15 minutes or part of.

British Weather

Comfortable walking shoes, rain proof jackets and caps. Please ensure that your child is dressed appropriate according to the weather activity for the day. For safety reasons some activities cannot take place in poor weather conditions. Therefore all activities are subject to alterations and/or cancellation. No refund can be offered; however we will find an alternative activity for the children should this happen.

Lunch and afternoon snacks

All parents must provide their children with a packed lunch daily with enough food and drinks for the duration of the day as we aim to return to the club no later than 5pm. On days where a hot meal is available to buy your child will still need snacks and drinks for tea time. Drinks that can be sipped and sealed are much better and can be refilled with water during the day. NO GLASS BOTTLES/NO NUTS. All children will be asked to sit down for lunch and snacks during the day and again when we return to the club. Staff will try and monitor that all children have eaten. Please ensure that your childs packed lunch doesn't contain NUTS as we have to ensure the safety of children with allergies.
Breakfast and a light afternoon snack will be offered to your child.
Breakfast 8am - 9am and Afternoon Tea at 4:30pm.

Spending Money

Spending money is allowed, all money should be handed to a member of staff including all money for trips and hot meals. This will be recorded on the tuck/trips fee sheets and stored safely to avoid loss.

During the schemes we do a lot of walking, so sensible shoes are essential. We use London Transport Buses, Private Hire Company for coaches and the Little Gremlins mini bus, both coaches and mini bus are fitted with seal belts.

Tuck Shop

The children will have the opportunity to buy a selection of drinks, fruit, sweets, popcorn, cereal bars and crisps from the tuck shop between 4pm-5pm each day. The maximum amount is £1.00 per day.

It is the clubs policy that we do not give medication to children unless prescribed by the doctor or  written consent from the parent is given. Any children with asthma pumps who would normally administer this themselves, must hand over all medication to staff members and parents will need to sign the consent form so that they can be stored safely out of reach from other/younger children. It is the staff's discretion whether they will take responsibility in administrating other prescribed medicine. Children will not be allowed to attend the play scheme if we do not have the child's medication on site each day in case of an emergency.
